Our team
As a proud family of Sophia, we are deeply committed to advocacy and education within the rare disease community, specifically for those affected by ddx3x syndrome. We strive to raise awareness and support individuals and families through our involvement with the SODRE Foundation.
Our history
The SODRE Foundation was established by junior golfer Audrey Chang, inspired by a deeply personal story of love and determination. Witnessing her older sister Sophia's challenges with DDX3X syndrome, a rare genetic disorder, Audrey felt compelled to take action. Understanding that advocacy and education around treatment and therapy options could significantly improve her sister's quality of life, she merged her passion for golf and film with a commitment to make a difference, leading to the foundation of SODRE Foundation in 2023.
Since its inception, Audrey has continued to enhance her involvement in the rare disease community through various advocacy initiatives, storytelling, and awareness campaigns. She has actively participated in programs and events linked to organizations like the EveryLife Foundation for Rare Diseases and YARR (Young Adult Representatives of RDLA), where she has forged connections with advocates, families, and leaders dedicated to increasing visibility and support for those affected by rare diseases, including DDX3X syndrome.
